Spring 2023 Donation Drive

Edmonton Pregnancy Care Centre

The Edmonton Pregnancy Care Centre

https://www.pregnancycarecentre.ca

The Pregnancy Care Centre offers resources and support for people experiencing an unexpected    pregnancy. The centre helps people to find the answers and support they need during a time that is possibly overwhelming, filled with fear and a sense of hopelessness.

The Pregnancy Care Centre is always in desperate need of donations such as maternity clothing, baby clothing, diapers, pads, baby and new mom toiletries and so much more.

Spring Donation Drive

Following the success of the Winter Food Bank Drive, the Agency took the decision to run an opt-in Spring Donation Drive with it’s focus on supporting the Pregnancy Care Centre in the valuable work it does to support moms during a potentially stressful time in their life.

Five Trunks!

The response to the campaign was amazing and on Friday March 25th consultants drove across the city to collect the      generous donations from those educators and parents who    participated.

A total of five car-loads of donations were delivered to The Pregnancy Care Centre.

The agency would like to thank all educators and parents who participated, and also give a special mention to one parent - Nicole Freckleton who went way beyond to help collect items for the drive through a Facebook campaign.  Nicole contacted people, collected the donations from all over Edmonton and finally sorted it into different bags/boxes.

When the agency reached out to Nicole she told us “(My son) and I had a lot of fun collecting the donations.  Edmontonians are so generous”  What a wonderful experience for all involved!

Thank you for your hard work to support a valuable charity

Southgate Medallion Family Day Homes is also a supporter of the Edmonton Food Bank.

Holiday Food Bank Drive - December 2022

In -30 temperatures, the team of Consultants and Coordinator of Southgate Medallion Family Day Homes travelled across the city to collect the generous donations made by families and day home educators for the Edmonton Food Bank.

Despite the cold temperatures, our hearts were warm and were as full as the trunks of our cars that transported all of the amazing donations of non-perishable items.

The team gave the fire fighters at the local fire hall a bit of a surprise when they turned up in our seven vehicles to drop off the donations.  The team were told that during the winter months, the Edmonton Food Bank visits the fire hall once a week to collect food bank donations.  Fortunately for the firemen the food bank truck was due to visit the next day, meaning they wouldn’t have to work around our piles of food for too long.

On behalf of all at Southgate Medallion, we would like to extend our gratitude and thanks to the day home educators and their families and communities who all took part in this year's food bank drive!
