Yahoo Provider Group
A discussion group has been created on Yahoo.com for providers of Southgate Medallion Family
Day Homes. This is a place where providers can communicate with each other, share ideas,
ask questions, offer suggestions for child care and get ideas to improve the care and
safety of children. It is also a forum to help support those who are new and looking
for ideas to improve their service.
Messages sent to this group are moderated and membership is limited to providers and staff of
Southgate Medallion Family Day Homes. Communications are expected to be professional in nature
and supportive of the ideals and values of Southgate Medallion Family Day Homes. Participation is voluntary.
Signing up is as follows:
Enter your e-mail address in the box below and click on the <">Yahoo Groups - Join Now!<">
button. This will send a confirmation e-mail to the your e-mail address.
- Go to your e-mail application and sign in. Look for a new e-mail from "Yahoo! Groups".
The subject line may read something like: "Please confirm your request to subscribe to smfdh".
(The e-mail may take up to 10 minutes (or more) to get to your InBox). - Open the e-mail and follow the instructions in the e-mail.
This will be simply replying to the e-mail. Please put your name and your home visitor's name in the body of your e-mail before sending it.
After replying, a note will be sent to the group moderator who will review it within a few days and respond to your request to join the group. - Once you are approved, you will receive an e-mail message from the Moderator.
At this point you may send messages to the group and will get messages others send in your e-mail.

If you wish to access the all messages in the Yahoo! Groups portal rather than by e-mail, and after you have been approved by the Moderator, you can go to:

You will be able to click on the blue "Join this group" button. If you already have a Yahoo login ID
use it to login. If you don't have a Yahoo ID, you will be directed on a short detour that will guide you through
the steps you need to get one and you will then be able to log in to the groups page.
