Five little monkeys jumping on the bed. (Five fingers bounce )
One fell off (One finger makes a curve downward)
And hurt his head (Hands on each side of head nodding)
Mother called the doctor (Hand to ear)
and the doctor said:
No more monkeys (Shake one finger)
jumping on the bed.

Four little monkeys jumping on the bed, etc.

Repeat and bring back three fingers, etc.

Here's a Ball For Baby

Here’s a ball for baby, big and soft and round
(Make a ball with both hands and bounce it up and down)

Here is baby’s hammer, Oh, how he can pound.
(Make a fist and pound it against other hand)

Here is baby’s music, clapping, clapping so.
(Clap hands)

Here are baby’s soldiers, marching in a row.
(Hold both hands stiff with fingers down and marching)

Here is baby’s trumpet, toot, ta-toot,ta-toot.
(Hands to mouth to make a trumpet)

Here’s the way the baby plays at peek-a-boo.
(Hands in front of eyes)

Here’s a big umbrella, keeps the baby dry.
(Hands meet above head)

Here is baby’s cradle, rock a baby bye.
(Hands on arms and rocking)

(Start with your hands behind your back)
Where is Thumbkin? (Bring out the thumb on one hand)
Where is Thumbkin? (Bring out the other thumb)

How are you today, sir? (Wiggle one thumb)
Very well, I thank you. (Wiggle the other thumb)
Run away, run away. (Both hands behind your back one at a time)

Where’s the whole family?
